Truth is, it is pretty much easier to type or say how relationships can work out, but following relationship rules can be super difficult to follow. 

In actual fact, creating a healthy and strong romantic relationship is very relative; it differs from couple to couple.

A basic principle to make your relationship stronger, is to have a deep conversation with your significant other and also, show that your open to better communication.

Forming a trusting and positive partnership takes effort and time. And unfortunately, it doesn’t just happen overnight. For any relationship to grow strong and stay strong, you need to put in some work.


1. Respect

Ghanaian songstress, Becca, sang a whole song about it, so you know it’s got to be important. Respecting your partner is very keen. Maintaining a joyful relationship means respecting your partner’s time, heart, character, and trust. Avoid name-calling, talking negatively about the other to friends or family, and/or threatening to leave the relationship.

2. Communication

Communication is very pertinent . It is the bedrock of every healthy relationship. However, not everyone knows how to communicate properly or even communicate at all. No matter how awkward or uncomfortable it feels, it will make for a long-lasting and fulfilling relationship.

3.Compliments


Everyone likes to hear that they look good. Giving your partner a compliment out of the blue will make them feel great and know you think they are attractive no matter how long you’ve been together.

4. Take time to be together

No matter how much work you have you need to be together and connect. Go out and do things together as a couple so you can create new memories.

5. Be assertive

Instead of keeping your emotions bottled up, talk about things that are bothering you. This includes small things you might not think are so important!
