Artist Profile : Get Familiar With Versatile Dancehall Star “Levis Ranking"

 

Born Dominic Nii Odartey Lamptey, a Fast-rising versatile dancehall musician known in the music scene as “Levis Ranking” ( Vim Dem ) from Avenor a suburb of Accra.

He had his secondary education at the Juaso Technical Senior High School. During his school days, he performed and thrilled his colleagues at funfairs, kiddafest, and a whole couple of music-related competitions.

He had the passion for music at a very tender age as he came from a home blessed with music which had a significant impact into his love got dancehall and Reggae music.

Levis Ranking translates raw emotion and relatable experiences into anthemic and ambitious Reggae and Dancehall vibes punctuated by low and fast–tempo beats. He boldly blends his dancehall style with a vivid taste of his local Ga & Hausa dialects. 

He started his music career in Avenor and somewhere on the line went to Konongo to continue the hustle there for about 5 years and later come back home to Avenor to continue the music business.

In 2021, he was discovered by one of Ghana’s Fast-Rising Talent  Manager in the dancehall genre who is popularly known as “Abuoden Street King”. His mission is to inspire the youth while giving them a sense of responsibility and focus.

He then signed him unto his record label whereby they work together for a while and had 10 solid songs to their credit including a monster hit song dubbed On God featiring SM Militant Captan.

In 2022 ending, Levis went back to his solo career and branding himself whereby he recorded a couple of single and did some projects.

He did not rest on the feathers of growing up on the streets to achieve his goals but implemented Humility and Hardwork to further achieve being the CEO of his current Record Label  “Vim Dem Empire”.

He is currently working on his first-ever studio album which will be officially out this year . He is currently unsigned to any record label and is open to interested brands for signings while he continues to do what he knows how to do best.

Levis Ranking has three record hits to his credit of which were all produced by renowned proucers and sound engineers such as Beat Vampire,Bossu Bhad among others. On God Ft. Captan, Shattas Ft. PM Boss, My Time, Avenor Halfcast, Y3, Psalm, Aboloo among other singles he got to his credit. He also work on some singles with Vybz Shella (De Shell Gad), Long Life & Dweetkid.
