There are more women than men, but there’s a man for every woman – Rev. Nana Yaa

 

The notion that there are more women than men in the world influences the belief that it is normal for a man to marry or have relationships with more than one woman.

This perception makes most men feel they are at liberty to marry two or more wives, instilling fear in some women who worry that they may not marry their choice of men or may end up as second wives.

However, relationship coach and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Tina-Ifa Group, Rev. Nana Yaa Prempeh, has refuted the theory, explaining that there is a partner for every woman despite the fact that the female gender outnumbers the male gender.

In a conversation on Joy Prime’s Prime Morning show with Asieduwaa Akumia, the relationship coach stated that not everyone will marry at the same time. This does not guarantee that every woman is entitled to a man.

“I believe that there’s a man for every woman. There are more women than men, but there’s a man for every woman because we all don’t want to marry at the same time. So, by the time you would want to marry, somebody’s wife is dead. I’m saying this to debunk the theory that a man has to have two women because there are too many women in Ghana. No, there’s a man for every woman.”

She is also of the view that some couples divorce because the woman becomes tired of the man's infidelity or other unacceptable behaviors, which may lead the man to marry another woman.

“So, the fact that every man is married doesn’t mean that it will be like that forever,” Rev. Nana Yaa reiterated.
