Legendary wrestler and Hollywood actor, John Cena has left fans speechless after announcing his retirement from World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) competitions during a recent appearance at the WWE Money in the Bank event in Canada.
The superstar wrestler, who has successfully transitioned into the Hollywood industry over the past 18 years, revealed that final ring performance will take place in 2025 as part of a farewell tour.
Addressing the crowd in Toronto, he said:
“Tonight, I officially announce my retirement from the WWE.”
His declaration was met with mixed reactions as many chanted ‘thank you’ to the superstar wrestler in a heartfelt gesture while others were just shocked and speechless.
John Cena, widely regarded as one of the greatest professional wrestlers in history, has achieved an impressive 16 world champion titles since joining WWE in 2001.
